The Cincinnati Bengals went out and got their new quarterback yesterday in Joe Flacco, we were all wondering if they’d be starting him on Sunday in Green Bay, and we have just got our answer!
Zac Taylor Confirms Joe Flacco As Bengals Starter
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Joe Flacco will be the starter on Sunday for the Cincinnati Bengals as they take on the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin. This may come as bit of a surprise to some, but I think the majority of us were begging for this to be the case.
Jake Browning simply has not played like we had all hoped, and with the NFL in a shambolic state competitively, there’s no better time than now for the Cincinnati Bengals to make a statement with a QB change.
Joe Flacco Learning a New Offense
This isn’t anything new to Flacco, he has been bounced around and learning new offenses for the last 5 years of his career. He’s a smart football guy, and he will learn quickly. As we mentioned yesterday, out of all the “available” quarterbacks out there, Flacco was the easiest decision to learn on the fly.
Let’s look forward to hopefully getting back on track, and for stars like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Noah Fant, Mike Gesicki to start providing some fantasy points again. Mr. Flacco, our Sundey’s mood are with you, now, sir. Deliver for us!
