13 Year Old Arrested In Marty Brennaman Statue Vandalism in Downtown Cincinnati

Unfortunately, a whole lot of crime has been hitting our city’s core. The latest form of it? Marty Brennaman’s statue. Just as sad as the rest of it, as now it’s becoming closer and closer to where a lot of us spend a bunch of time. This one? Great American Ballpark. Teen Kid Arrested In Connection To Vandalism

Update: Today, October 28th, the Cincinnati Police Department announced they arrested a 13 year old in connection to the vandalism of Marty Brennaman’s statue. The statue is expected to be able to be repaired, but it’s unknown at this time when it’ll be restored. The original sculptor is the one being touted to make the repairs. Parents, please, for the love of all things holy, know what your kids are doing and where. The downtown madness is becoming unreal.

    Marty Brennaman’s New Statue Vandalized

Some utter scumbag decided to partake in hoodrat activities and ended up damaging Marty’s brand new statue that was just put in this past September right before the Cincinnati Reds clinched a postseason berth. The Hall Of Famer was extremely proud to be honored like this outside of GABP and some hooligans thinking they’re funny are now part of dismantling that.

Kurt Knue of WLWT states that the Cincinnati Reds are currently investigating the incident. I’m sure they’ll work to have the statue repaired as quick as possible. It’s unclear if there’s any video evidence of the vandalism taking place, but all in all, what a really crummy thing to do. Marty Brennaman has given a lot to this city. Of course, I’m sure he understands that the unruliness of the downtown area is no real look on our city, but it’d still be nice to restore that order shortly!
