Joe Flacco Injury News
As last week’s game crumbled to another disappointing loss that we’re all becoming accustomed to, Joe Flacco ran into the locker room just before the Jets ultimately scored – he ended up coming back out, but what we thought may have just been a trip to the men’s room…turns out to be another shoulder injury. Yep, another Bengals QB…injured. Woo!
Ian Rapoport is reporting that he has an AC joint issue (sprain) in his shoulder and is considered day to day. He did mention, however, that his status is up in the air for Sunday. It’s rumored in the building that Jake Browning is preparing to be starting for the Bengals on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Joe Flacco’s injury came in the Jets game and was after a hit, who would’ve figured. Although the Bengals Offensive Line has been playing better, that’s still a significant issue for the team – QB hits. Flacco gets the ball out a lot quicker than most so it’s been less noticeable, but the unit has still graded pretty poorly.
Cincinnati Bengals Tough Loss Sunday
The loss to the Jets all but put another significant dagger in the Bengals season and playoffs hopes for 2025-2026. Flacco now being injured and having to pivot to Jake Browning is going to be the last final dagger. The defense held a unit meeting earlier in the week as they try to find who is going to be a ‘leader’ – they currently have a captain that has requested to be traded, and other disgruntled employees, like Mike Pennel, who requested and was granted his release from the team. Not good.
