Disappointing 2024
It’s not a secret that Noelvi had one of the most disappointing seasons of any Red in 2024. In the offseason, he made terrible choices with taking steroids, then once he was eligible to come back, he was even worse. He ended up slashing .210/.248/.301/.549 – truthfully dreadful production, or lack of. He ended the 2024 year worth -1.8 bWAR. It’s a season you hope he can forget, that’s for sure.
Hopefully Noelvi Marte will help himself out a little more this year, stay focused, and be ready to play baseball. The DoWL was the start of his decline last year after a promising start to this MLB career. I think I’m willing to chalk up his 2024 struggles to the surroundings of his mishaps – he’s a lot better baseball player than he showed, especially defensively. Terry Francona has always had a great ability to connect with his Latin American players, let’s hope Noelvi Marte is no exception.

He took the mound last night in the Arizona Complex League and looked very good in his first real game action. Greene faced 14 batters and threw 39 strikes on 54 pitches. He allowed only two hits in four innings and went over…
Elly And Hunter Are Working Back…But Are the Reds in Danger of COMPLETELY Falling Apart?
When Elly De La Cruz went down to injury at the end of May, Reds fans saw a team that was already on the brink. They were 30-29 and without their best player, with an extremely difficult June schedule on the horizon. It was a make or break month where the team was going to have to dig deep to find…
