Disappointing 2024

It’s not a secret that Noelvi had one of the most disappointing seasons of any Red in 2024. In the offseason, he made terrible choices with taking steroids, then once he was eligible to come back, he was even worse. He ended up slashing .210/.248/.301/.549 – truthfully dreadful production, or lack of. He ended the 2024 year worth -1.8 bWAR. It’s a season you hope he can forget, that’s for sure.

Hopefully Noelvi Marte will help himself out a little more this year, stay focused, and be ready to play baseball. The DoWL was the start of his decline last year after a promising start to this MLB career. I think I’m willing to chalk up his 2024 struggles to the surroundings of his mishaps – he’s a lot better baseball player than he showed, especially defensively. Terry Francona has always had a great ability to connect with his Latin American players, let’s hope Noelvi Marte is no exception.

No lead is safe as the Reds bullpen hits rock bottom

The 2026 Reds began the season 20-11, but since that time have dropped 20 of their last 31 games and now sit in the dead even purgatory of .500, at 31-31.  The latest implosion last night was yet another exercise in bullpen futility. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, the Cardinals scored…

JJ Bleday Has Been A $1.4M STEAL.

The Cincinnati Reds are no shy organization of taking chances on ‘failed’ prospects and cashing in on them. JJ Bleday is the latest and greatest example, even though he spent the first month of the season in AAA Louisville, he has been quite the catch for the Redlegs in Cincinnati, Ohio and just continues to…
